Defendant – a person, company, etc., against whom a claim or charge is brought in a court
Forensic – Relating to the use of science or technology in the investigation and establishment of facts or evidence in a court of law
Foreperson – The chair and spokesperson for a jury
Juror – one of a group of persons sworn to deliver a verdict in a case submitted to them; member of a jury.
Latent – Present or potential but not evident or active
Prosecutor – A lawyer empowered to prosecute cases on behalf of a government and its people
Public Defender – a lawyer appointed or elected by a city or county as a full-time, official defender to represent indigents in criminal cases at public expense
testify/testimony – the statement or declaration of a witness under oath or affirmation, usually in court
witness – One who can give a firsthand account of something seen, heard, or experienced
