Alaska made a poster for their 2009 Jury Appreciation Week. The poster is a little amusing with the cats and dogs, but it does make a great point on why we have a jury system.

Since our nation’s founding, the right to trial by a jury of one’s peers has been a fundamental principle of our democracy. But fulfilling this principle and ensuring equal justice under the law depends on each of us doing our part. So be a peer–report for jury service. Our justice system thanks you!
