This site describes legal ways to avoid jury duty. It is your civic duty to serve when summoned to jury duty. We recommend you uphold your legal obligation to serve. In order for the legal system to function properly the best and brightest need to participate.

With that being said. This site is for those of you who do not want to serve and would harm the system by serving. If somebody does not want to fill full their civic duty then why would you want them on a jury that could decide an individuals fate. Imagine yourself falsely accused of committing a crime and you find yourself in court. Would you want an individual deciding your fate who did not care about upholding their civic duty? I for one would not.
